Closing of the 2026 Neurodivergent Summer Camp

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, CBEP hosted an awareness workshop on suicide prevention in Black communities and among vulnerable people, led by Dr. Hélène Flamand, professor of psychology at Campus Saint-Jean, University of Alberta.
The session opened a conversation on a subject that is still too often surrounded by silence, and helped participants better understand the importance of prevention, listening, support and access to the right resources. The workshop was followed by a small reception.
We warmly thank Dr. Flamand for her expertise and generosity, and everyone who took part and shared in the discussion. Together, let’s keep raising awareness, informing and supporting our communities.
